Memphis & Co. – Dog Training & Pet Wellness in Monroe, WI

Memphis & Co. is a dog training and pet wellness business in Monroe, WI, dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build confident, healthy, and balanced relationships. Led by Cortney, Izzy, and Kenadie, our team provides personalized training programs, evaluations, and consultations designed for lasting results.

We operate from two convenient locations. Our Downtown Location at 1005 16th Avenue offers a retail store with high-quality dog food, holistic products, toys, and accessories, along with grooming services, canine chiropractic care, and PEMF therapy to support your dog’s health and comfort. Our Daycare & Training facility on W5428 County Road FF provides a structured, enriching environment where dogs receive hands-on guidance, social engagement, and individualized care.

Rooted in clarity, discipline, motivation, and reinforcement, our training strengthens communication and brings out the best in every dog. Whether your dog needs obedience training, behavior modification, confidence building, daycare, or wellness support, we create a plan that fits your goals.

Our Story

Cortney – Owner & Trainer

Cortney, the heart and founder of Memphis & Co., has been devoted to dogs her entire life. Born and raised in Monroe, WI, she lives with her husband Derek, their children, and four beloved dogs. Cortney’s journey into professional dog training began in 2013 at Triple Crown Academy, now Starmark Academy, alongside her Border Collie, Memphis. With a degree in Animal Welfare Management, she brings hands-on experience in training, grooming, nutrition, kennel management, and client care. After years of working as a full-time trainer for Focused Dog Training, she launched Memphis & Co. in 2023, expanding high-quality dog care, board-and-train services, and community support. Cortney’s passion for dogs drives every aspect of her work.

Izzy – Trainer, ESA, Therapy, & Service Dog Specialist

Izzy’s passion for dogs started in childhood and has grown into a career specializing in ESA, therapy, and service dog training. She began at Memphis & Co. assisting with daycare and overnight care, gradually stepping into a full-time trainer role. Certified by the Karen Pryor Academy, Izzy is committed to ongoing education through seminars, courses, and hands-on experience. She trains her Doberman, Xena, and Australian Cattle Dog, Dale, alongside her work with clients’ dogs. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, photography, and exploring new ways to connect with dogs.

Kenadie – Trainer, Overnight Care Coordinator & Daycare Handler

Kenadie’s love for animals began in her childhood and deepened through fostering and rescuing dogs as a teenager. Her early experiences rescuing Australian Shepherds Ivy and Remi fueled her passion for caregiving. Today, Kenadie shares her home with over 25 animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic species, learning from each one daily. At Memphis & Co., she oversees overnight care and daycare while providing hands-on training. Kenadie also works as a CNA and plans to pursue nursing school, reflecting her commitment to helping both people and animals. In her free time, she enjoys family, traveling, and spending quality time with her menagerie of critters.

Peggy – Daycare & Overnight Care Coordinator

Peggy has been part of the animal care industry since 2019, working at Green County Humane Society for five years and a boarding kennel in Lena for three years. Her experience has strengthened her dedication to providing compassionate care for every pet. At Memphis & Co., Peggy coordinates daycare and overnight care, ensuring each dog receives structure, enrichment, and individual attention. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young son while preparing for the arrival of their second child. Peggy’s household is shared with four dogs—Strider, Loki, Clover, and Azula—keeping her life full of love, energy, and furry companionship.

We scheduled a week long overnight stay for our 1 1/2 year old Lab (Bruce) this summer, and to help him adjust, he went to daycare 1 time a week for about a month prior. The changes in him just from those weekly visits has been amazing to see! He has started to greet people with a nice sit instead of smothering them with his excitement and jumps, he walks on a leash for me without wanting to run up to every person we meet along the way, and he had a big reaction to bicycles (HATED them actually) and can now pass them without all the stress or too much of a care. These little corrections seem to be just the tip of the iceberg for what Cortney and her staff can do. Bruce has also made a best friend during his visits (Hendrix - who is up for adoption!) and has learned nice play in a safe and controlled space with other dogs. We will continue with daycare as he seems to love it and it keeps him fulfilled. The exceptional care, knowledge and experience at Memphis & Co has kept our family at ease knowing that Bruce is in the best hands and we cannot thank them enough!

Our experience with Memphis & Co was wonderful. The results Cortney had with our dog, Cooper, during his 3 weeks of training was amazing. Before the training, Cooper was a chronic chewer and would get overly excitable. Our youngest granddaughter experienced the brunt of his excitable nature one day during a visit, prior to the training, which resulted with her being scared of him and skeptical to be around him. As an aside, she’s on the autism spectrum which “amplified” the experience. Now, following the training, our granddaughter enjoys spending time with Cooper who is a delight to be around. We’re so thrilled with this progress and thankful of the work she did with him. Further, following Cooper’s training stay at Memphis & Co., Cortney delivered him to our home and spent several hours with us making sure we had the knowledge to maintain Cooper’s newly acquired good behavior. We have since highly recommended Memphis & Co. to everyone we can. And, especially those we cross paths with when walking Cooper who praise him on his behaviour and “regal” presence.
